Thomas Watson - You can contact me via my blog or through Live Framework Forum and I would get you started with the Live Framework.

Here's the Link for MSDN forum for Live Framework: <a href="http://social.msdn.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/liveframework/threads/" rel="nofollow">http://social.msdn.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/liveframework/threads/</a>

Regarding MSDN forum - you can very well know what threads you have read. If you are signed in and you read a forum - it would show as read thread/reply. you can filter the unread threads by following link:
http://social.msdn.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/liveframework/threads/#page:1;filter:unreadreplies

Please contact me via forums/blog and i would get you started.

"You get a token, think you are done, then discover you have the wrong kind of token and need to apply for another one."

Indeed. I've been waiting to test the LiveMesh SDK since April 08 so I sign up and they send me the wrong token. Now I just get to keep waiting and waiting while my enthusiasm just keeps dying and dying.

And I agree, the MSDN forums are total crap and unusable. I don't even know which threads I've visited/read or which ones are new in the LiveMesh forum. Very frustrating!

Hi Tim,
I'd like to know more about the data synchronization you describe, but as you mentioned, found the docs on SyncEntryClass to be mostly useless. I'm not a .Net guy, so would appreciate any pointers/links to information on how this works if you have them readily at hand...

When Flash Communication Server (now Flash media server) first appeared (2002?) it had something called Remote Shared Objects. They could be set to persist locally in which case you got real-time multi-client sharing and auto synching of data from offline changes that sounds similar to what you described. I'd like to be able to compare the two approaches.

Yours truly,
-Brian
