		<description>We used to use ebay a lot for selling off surplus inventory, etc. It got to be such a pain because of some of ebay&#039;s policies, we stopped using them almost completely and are testing other solutions.</description>

Sorry, but no.  I know he&#039;s describing himself as this, not you.  However, I used to be a research scientist, now I work in IT *in* scientific research.  There is a world of difference between both. 

I really wish that internet and software companies would stop glorifying the significance of what they do and simply own up to the fact they&#039;ve found a novel way of making money.  It reminds me of the way that advertising fiims have appropriated the word &#039;creative&#039; for their own use.</description>
