I wonder about Microsoft’s marketing and naming schemes sometimes.

Couldn’t this be called Standard, Professional, Ultimate?

I like how this means that code coverage analysis costs $1,500. Or can you get Premium edition sans MSDN?

(I wish VS would move to a plug-in / a-la-carte model.)

@Tim: I am actually confused by the two “Premium” references in the sentence. Are you sure you didn’t mean “while Ultimate has everything”?

Apologies; if you look at the Visual Studio 2008 Team System editions available today it makes sense. One is called Development, another Database.

I’ve been told that Premium will be pretty much the current Development and Database editions combined, while Premium has everything.

I have difficulty parsing the above sentence.
