Your call, really. If you have KClean to hand you can probably remove it OK, but don’t take my word for it!

Leaving iPlayer (or 4oD or Sky Anytime) running will most likely exceed most users’ ADSL broadband cap limits.

If these solutions do take off, will be interesting to see how the cheaper broadband players treat their customers when instead of using 2GB in a month, they start downloaded 2GB in just a day or two.

Shame there’s no scheduling ability in the application though – some ISPs allow unlimited use outside peak hours.

Very interesting. The dialog box is a classic thing that people do on Windows – not mixing “affect” and “effect”, but writing loads and loads just because they can.

And you should have completed the test surely by seeing how difficult or easy it was to find the same stuff on Bittorrent or other file-sharing sites, and how the quality compared. Yes, that will tie up your line (a little) but you’ll have fewer registry/DRM issues.

Ive got it working on vista by makeing the user-agent string show xp machine. The bugs mentioned above are all visible in vista. The 7 day thingy is a joke, simple goto your download folder and copy the file to another location.

That was quick

But I agree, seamless install is one thing Microsoft seems to have right with both Silverlight and XBAP apps. Though I guess the DRM is global and would stil give problems when corrupt.
