The amount of stuff that comes preinstalled on both desktop and laptop PCs now is ridiculous. Like you, I uninstall most of it. Agree on the wireless connectivity software - I have yet to find any that is better than Windows' own solution, so it gets disabled / uninstalled. Antivir is excellent free antivirus, by the way. With an Apple you have a fair amount of downloading software updates, but usually only one reboot (you hope). The big thing that you don't worry about is AV. And of course installing SP1 is equivalent to installing Leopard over Tiger (OSX 10.4 -> 10.5) so yours is slightly unusual. Should have gone with.. oh, sorry.
