Hi Tim,

Looks like Microsoft have listened to all the protest in this case and have reversed the decision. I am now getting Live Maps again instead of Multimap.

Cheers

Join the Facebook protest about the maps.live to Multimap switch at http://www.facebook.com/group.php?gid=14574166409&ref=mf

The only thing Multimap is being recognized for as a brand is a diabolical website whose development team has missed the train years ago. If I want use them I go to their website but don't replace a superior service with S*** like Multimap.

Perhaps it's just all a late April fool's joke and publicity stunt to promote live services and to see the response created if users are thrown back into the dark ages of the web and mapping. I only can hope so!! And it's their ONLY escape route.

Google Maps hasn't got any competitor now and I as a Microsoft Developer will switch to Google.

RESTORE http://maps.live.com NOW for the UK and GET RID OF MULTIMAP!!!

Totally agree.

Livemaps was arguably as good if not better than Google Maps. Multimap is just dire.

You don't need to change your Regional Settings, just the preferred Language in your web browser: In your web browser, change the preferred language for displaying pages from English (UK) to English (US). In IE7 this is under Tools, Internet Options, General tab then look under the Appearance section and click “Languages”. In Firefox, this is under Tools, Options, General tab, then click Choose and change the default language to English/United States(en-us).

Works perfectly!
