Personally I've never had a problem with WordPerfect X3 or X4 in opening PDFs. Why support the OOXML when Micro$oft and WordPerfect are the only ones supporting it? In fact Microsoft is the only one not supporting ODF, more abuse of monopoly power?

I pulled in a PDF flyer that was only an image, pulled into WordPerfect X3 and X4 perfectly, as was all the other documents I've downloaded from various sources.

Don't know what your problem with PDF import is, but the only files I've had problems opening is Microsoft formats. Which seem to crash every office suite from Open Office to IBM Lotus Symphony.

I installed WordPerfect x4 and opened a large document. The first 20 or so pages look good. After that, it only shows the header and the footer. Otherwise, the pages are blank. It says that the document is a read only document and must be renamed, but it won't let me, the administrator, rename it. When I try to save it, it takes the system down. "Not responding" is the message. Have you any idea what I can do to get it to work. This is a family history book that I have inserted boxes for many photos and want to complete it in Word Perfect. Can you help? Please and Thank you.

I have a user running WP X4 on a Dell D830, Vista Business, Office Enterprise 2007. User account has admin privileges. WP X4 fails to start when logged in as user, but works fine when logged in as local administrator. If anyone has any tips or tricks, please let me know. I have already uninstalled/reinstalled the software.

Thanks.
