Thanks for the guestbook code. I have been trying for weeks to write a code but mine is proving very difficult. To the extend I now have an incomplete in the wed design course. I will try yours hope it will work for me if you do not mind .

You are welcome. As I mentioned, you should check the code for security issues.

Guestbooks are vulnerable to comment spam. I highly recommend that you implement some sort of captcha test otherwise it will be overrun.

I can't access the code either.

I'm new to the whole code writing and although I'm learning stuff as I go along, there isn't like an idiots guide for coding a guestbook.

I'd be greatful if anyone can help me.

I removed the code because it was not secure. The other problem is that you really need spam protection to run a guestbook successfully - a CAPTCHA image or some alternative method. In the innocent days of 2000, when the code was first posted, this wasn't a problem. So I'd honestly recommend you look elsewhere, though I can dig it out if anyone *really* wants to look at it.
