Answer: it\u2019s still there, which won\u2019t please <a href=\"http:\/\/www.exceluser.com\/explore\/surveys\/ribbon\/ribbon-survey-results.htm\">ribbon haters<\/a>; in fact, it\u2019s more prominent than ever, and has arrived in Outlook:<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" alt=\"\" src=\"http:\/\/www.itwriting.com\/images\/outlookribbon.gif\" \/><\/p>\n<p>[You\u2019ll also notice the new Quick Steps panel in the screenshot, a new approach to simple macro building.]<\/p>\n<p>Still, there\u2019s one big difference with the ribbon in Office 2010: you can customize it without having to be a developer:<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" alt=\"\" src=\"http:\/\/www.itwriting.com\/images\/customize-ribbon.gif\" \/><\/p>\n<p>That said, I don\u2019t like this dialog; it\u2019s ugly and complicated. Remember how you could customize toolbars in Office 2003 by drag-and-drop?
