Here I am in Office 365, logged in as the admin user:<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.itwriting.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/02\/image3.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" title=\"image\" style=\"border-top: 0px; border-right: 0px; background-image: none; border-bottom: 0px; padding-top: 0px; padding-left: 0px; border-left: 0px; display: inline; padding-right: 0px\" border=\"0\" alt=\"image\" src=\"http:\/\/www.itwriting.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/02\/image_thumb3.png\" width=\"404\" height=\"179\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>I need a break and want to stay secure, so I drop-down the menu top right and choose Sign out:<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.itwriting.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/02\/image4.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" title=\"image\" style=\"border-top: 0px; border-right: 0px; background-image: none; border-bottom: 0px; padding-top: 0px; padding-left: 0px; margin: 0px; border-left: 0px; display: inline; padding-right: 0px\" border=\"0\" alt=\"image\" src=\"http:\/\/www.itwriting.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/02\/image_thumb4.png\" width=\"244\" height=\"114\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Lo, I am still signed in:<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.itwriting.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/02\/image5.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" title=\"image\" style=\"border-top: 0px; border-right: 0px; background-image: none; border-bottom: 0px; padding-top: 0px; padding-left: 0px; border-left: 0px; display: inline; padding-right: 0px\" border=\"0\" alt=\"image\" src=\"http:\/\/www.itwriting.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/02\/image_thumb5.png\" width=\"404\" height=\"187\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>And no, it is not just a browser cache issue or similar. You can still do administrative tasks.<\/p>\n<p>I have seen references to the bug in Microsoft support forums, so it is known, but unfixed for ages.<\/p>\n<p>I do not publicise this sort of stuff because of any antipathy towards Microsoft.
